Based on the Sheraton State Bed made for the Mansion House in London, and made for a private home. Inspired by a description of John Phillips’ state bed in 1802 and Thomas Sheraton design from 1793.
This bed has more elaborate carvings to match existing architecture from around 1840. The Acanthus leaves and Corinthian columns are all hand carved and gilded.
